Summer 2025 Update

Our 2025 Walleye Jigging and Multi-Species Summer Trips are off and running on Great Sacandaga Lake! Thanks to the efforts of catch and release, the walleye and perch sizes are beginning to increase on Great Sacandaga! While there are still thousands and thousands of undersized walleye stuck at the 14.75” mark, many fish are finally getting over that threshold which is so encouraging and we are catching them!!. Clients on our charter are learning new techniques of jigging for these fish with either live bait or artificial ones. We have stopped fishing for the Pike during the heat of July and August as they do not survive well when taken to the surface under warm water and air temps. Therefore, we are dedicating all our time to the walleye, perch and bass this summer. The only exception to this is we are offering river pike trips on the Housatonic River in Western Massachusetts. We are also releasing all our walleye over 20” to ensure they reproduce as those are the biggest natural “fish stockers” as they lay the most eggs. Sacandaga is an amazing fishery yet so many normal fisherman struggle each day so why not book a day on our charter! We have plenty of openings available for the next 1.5 months.
